Awesome place for fresh vegetables and fruits. I've never seen or tasted a better selection and variety of veges and fruits. Included are ground wheat pastry flour and corn meal, pastries and canned spaghetti sauce, jams,honey just to name a few. Also home made shampoos and bath soaps.
The zucchini bread is incredible. The jams and jellies are delicious. The fresh foods actually have flavor unlike the fruits and vegetables you'll find in a regular grocery store. The prices are very reasonable and, in a lot of cases, better than what thou would pay at a grocery store or Wal-Mart. I bought a cucumber once that was 17" for only a dollar, and it was crisp and flavorful. I also, in the same trip, bought a bucket full of small tomatoes for only $5. They were so good, I ate them like grapes.
I recently moved from tn and one of the things i miss most is the Delano Farmers Market! While simple it has a large selection of fruits and vegetables at very affordable prices. Plus canned goods, homemade soaps, salves and lotions. Its a must visit if ur traveling through.
Love this community fresh veggies in season! Fresh fruits in season, freshbaked bread and cookies and pastries! Great place for history for Amish way of life drive through the community and fields of corn, apple trees, grapevines, see horse and buggy traveling on the roads! A great place to visit!
